Her media career began as a reporter at the now defunct Jamaica Herald, in 1994. Since then she has garnered invaluable experience in both the print and electronic media in Jamaica and the UK. She has worked as a reporter, producer and later a columnist for Pure Class magazine, Jamaica’s premier weekly social magazine.
She is a former media analyst with one of the UK’s top media monitoring firms, where she analyzed media content to help manage the reputations of major technology and blue chip companies including Microsoft, CISCO Systems, Merrill Lynch and Accenture.
Marie Berbick-Graham founded BGA in 2004, with the objective of helping companies and professionals become more proactive in the management of their reputation. Since then she has created a stir on the media and PR landscape with her informative, thought provoking monthly newsletter StratCom, for communicators.
She was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Jamaica Ornamental Fish Farmers Association (JOFFA), for designing and implementing a highly effective Public Relations campaign to support Jamaica’s first National Ornamental Fish Expo, held in October 2006.
Marie Berbick-Graham is currently pursuing a Masters in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change at the University of the West Indies (CARIMAC). She holds a BA in Journalism & Public Relations (hons) and a Higher Diploma in Journalism (distinction), from University College Kensington. (London). She also holds certificates in Marketing, Radio Announcing and Television Production from local and overseas institutions. |
